Dr. Jim Bell– Dr. Jim Bell has been a practicing veterinarian in Collingwood since 1979. Dr. Bell is originally from Nottawa and established Bellbrae Animal Hospital in 1983.
Dr. Bell believes that in combining the latest technology with an old-fashioned touch, we have created an atmosphere where pets and their owners receive the best possible care and service.
Dr. Mathew McKee– Mathew is the son of Steve and Cherolyn McKee of Nottawa. He graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Guelph in 2005. Dr. McKee adopted “Charms” from the Georgian Triangle Humane Society. As a pet owner, Dr. McKee understands the unique bond between owners and their pets.
Dr. Krista Gilpin– Dr. Krista Gilpin graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2003. She joined the Bellbrae Animal Hospital team in 2009. Krista has an interest in exotic pets. Her home is filled with an assortment of pets, including 2 dogs, a cat, a rabbit, numerous reptiles and a couple of birds. Krista and her border collie are currently enjoying agility training.
Dr. Allison Ashleigh– Dr. Allison Ashleigh started practicing small animal medicine in 2006 after her graduation from the Ontario Veterinary College and later joined the Bellbrae Animal Hospital team in 2011. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Ashleigh received her Bachelor of Science from the University of Guelph. Originally from Newmarket, Allison has settled in Collingwood with her husband, 2 young children and rescued fur-baby “Rona”.
In her spare time, Allison loves to be outdoors enjoying all the benefits of living in the Georgian Bay area. Allison is committed to a career of lifelong learning and shares her love of the human-animal bond with our clients.
Dr. Donna Di Gregorio– Dr. Donna Di Gregorio obtained her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Guelph before going on to complete veterinary school at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. She shares a home with two dogs and two cats and in her spare time, she loves to golf, ski and snowboard.
Dr. Meg Anderson– Dr. Meg Anderson was born and raised in Wasaga Beach and Collingwood. She graduated from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2013. She also received her Bachelor of Science honors degree from the University of Guelph. Meg has practiced in Oshawa, Toronto and Barrie in both general practice and emergency medicine. She started at Bellbrae Animal Hospital in the Summer of 2017. Her passions are emergency medicine, dentistry, and client communication and education. In her spare time she enjoys running, yoga and hiking with her two golden retrievers Gibson, Maddie and her husband Luke.
